Ey, Some Pirates

I've been needing to come up with a comic book story for years now. I had some good ideas pinned under my belt, whether it revolved around giant robot warfare or pirates. A friend of mine dug up some old pirate sketches I did when I was 14 when we wanted to do a pirate story, but at the time, we didn't have a lot of resources to do it; proper story, assortment of characters, time, etc.

He comes to later and says, "Hey, lets bring back the pirate comic, I feel more in my element to do it." or something along those words. I agreed to it and we dabbled on so many ideas. Roughly, it would be set in a world consisting of 85% ocean and where boats are a reasonable transportation, but we try to stray away from ripping off One Piece. So far, we discussed at least 5 story arcs so far.

I want to get started on this but I am currently trying to get my daily practice in with drawing and trying to understand different executions of art. I could go digital with the comic and save myself the trouble or stay with traditional drawing. if I can get this done, I could start posting it all here or start a website.
